Our town has a huge party at the park every 4th of July. The girls enjoyed catching up with their friends they hadn't seen since school got out. Someone was selling egg shells (real eggs, mostly intact) full of confetti and taped shut (fundraiser). The kids had a grand time smashing eggs on everyone's heads. There was confetti all over my car and house for a week.
And a huge firework show at the park at night. It was a very impressive show for this squatty little town.
Still, though. It in no way made up for not being in Rexburg for the 4th. :( I hope to never miss it again.
