Day 2 of my Nat visit

We prepped crepes for the masses. FYI, the proper pronunciation of crepe is crepp, not crayp. Just helping you avoid a serious tourist faux pas next time you're in France. And anyway, it's fun to say you're taking a crepe when you pronounce it correctly.

Here's the thing about Todd, though. Crepes, cinnamon rolls, omelets, french toast, you name it. When it comes to breakfast foods, you can give him all those choices and he'll still take -every day of the week- oatmeal. He has a freaking love affair with steal cut oats.

But he did adorn it with crepe toppings. :)
The kids were very anxious to get to the beach on Saturday. The weather has been rainy for a little while, but it was picture perfect when they were here, which they were stoked about since it's like negative a billion in Rexburg right now. And can I just proclaim how much I love having such free and satisfying entertainment so close to home?

Todd, Nat, Dale (who looks remarkable for 60 I must say)

Todd didn't have a watch so he made a sun dial. He's so lovable.
Love, love, love
Ana had spent a week at science camp in Malibu before our guests arrived. She was teaching us all kinds of fascinating things about nature. For instance....

See this sand crab?
It's pregnant. Those are teensy orange eggs under it's shell. Fascinating, huh!?
Tweedledee & Tweedledum

Braden was transfixed by the sea urchins. He collected them in this pool.

Manhattan Beach has a wonderful pier and there's a free aquarium at the end of it. It's fairly ghetto, but really cool.

Best Friends for EVA!!!
Remember Braden's sea urchins?
When we got home, he took a shower and then came running downstairs shouting "I'M A SEA URCHIN!"
