The Hursts came to LA last week. Woohoo!!! They were staying in Pasadena for the first couple days of their trip because Mitch had a conference. By the second day we couldn't stand having them so close, yet so far away so I went to pick up the girls and steal them away.
Arriving at the hotel

Trip to the beach
Later in the afternoon Les & Mitch showed up
We ditched the kids with explicit instructions NOT to call 911 while we were gone. We had dinner at one of my favorite LA joints, Tara's Himalayan Cuisine.
The girls were in AG nirvana for a couple days. It was an elaborate set up.
We somehow scored 6 free tickets to Disneyland so we went on what happened to be an extremely rainy day. It doesn't rain much down here, but when it does it can really lay the smack down. It was VERY soggy.
I found this picture of the grandkids at Disneyland when they were tiny. Edie didn't even exist yet.
Before.
After.
We spent their last day here in Manhattan Beach...
Eating.
Squishing faces.
Strolling the pier
Petting star fish.
Munching on ice cream.
Taking interesting self-portraits.
And constantly trying to hide these damn crutches from the kids. For some reason we have them in the house and my kids (i.e. Lily) constantly have "reason" to "need" them. Mostly they are just really fun to play with. I don't think anyone was convinced that Ella needed them while crossing a tiled watery walkway.
THANKS FOR COMING LES!! FYI, Les owns the prize for visiting the most since we moved here a year and a half ago...4 times (right, Les?). She's my hero.

Right, Ray. :)
Oh my goodness, you know how to show a girl a good time in that city. I just can't seem to keep myself away. And that picture of 6 little babies at Disney?! Melts my heart.

Fun blog! How great that Mitch, Les, and the girls were able to visit! The beach shots make me want to drive to Santa Cruz RIGHT NOW! Gorgeous photography! Love the shot of you and Les at the end.
